Free from day one
Every available Sydekyks feature is free to use, with no license key, activation or trial period.
Free software
- Removed license keys, activation prompts, trials, expiry checks and recurring entitlement verification.
- All implemented features remain available, including Missions, Command Centers, Syd, saved agents, tables, connections and MCP.
- Self-host for free. Hosting, support and workflow implementation are optional services; third-party AI and API charges remain separate.
Before updating
- Back up your database, file storage, encryption/JWT keys and configuration. Upgrade every app and worker to 1.0.6 together.
- Existing license records are ignored, including expired or revoked records. No activation or license renewal is required after the update.
- Sign-in, account permissions, workspace isolation and worker ownership checks remain enforced. Features still in development remain unavailable.
- Custom clients must stop calling /v1/sydekyks-license endpoints or waiting for the removed licensing socket event.
More reliable worker installation and Code steps
Improve worker integration installation and Code-step compatibility, with additional migration tracking for operators.
Fixed
- Workers use the internal application endpoint when installing integrations, so execution does not depend on reaching the public website URL.
- Code steps can retry transpilation when the initial conversion fails.
- Fresh installations create the initial application schema before background-migration history, preserving the empty-database installation check.
Improved
- Updated integration translations while preserving Sydekyks product wording.
- Added background-migration tracking. The current background migration list is empty; existing blocking migrations are retained.
Before updating
- Back up the database, file storage, encryption/JWT keys and installation configuration. Update all app and worker processes to 1.0.5 together.
- Release preparation included a backed-up 1.0.4 upgrade and PostgreSQL restoration on a development candidate. The final image received build and startup checks; broader testing is deferred to future CI. Check a representative mission before resuming normal work.
- Existing Command Centers, Syd and MCP access are retained. Features not yet implemented remain unavailable.
More Command Centers, a clearer assistant and MCP identity
Create additional Command Centers, browse mission templates and connect AI clients with the Sydekyks MCP identity.
Added
- Create unlimited additional Command Centers alongside Personal, switch between them, and edit their names and icons.
- Archive an additional Command Center when its missions are disabled and its queued, running and paused work has finished. Archiving preserves its data.
Improved
- Ask Syd navigation uses the Syd artwork.
- MCP server metadata, instructions and tool guidance identify the platform as Sydekyks. Existing technical tool identifiers remain compatible.
Fixed
- The mission-template library loads the legacy catalog correctly.
- Command Center archive checks coordinate with new runs, trigger activation and retries. Partial bulk archive refreshes the authoritative list.
Before updating
- Back up your database, file storage, encryption key and installation configuration. Update the app and workers together.
- Refresh or reconnect existing MCP clients and start a new chat to replace cached metadata.
- Personal remains protected. Member sharing, quotas, provisioning and a restore screen are not included in this release.
Workflow runtime and integration updates
Updated integration and execution components, with verified installation, upgrade, recovery and SMTP checks.
Changed
- Updated workflow execution and integration components while preserving Sydekyks branding, licensing and Syd.
- Unsupported administration controls remain hidden.
Verified
- Fresh installation and a published webhook, expression, custom Code and Data Mapper mission passed on AMD64 and ARM64.
- A backed-up 1.0.2 upgrade preserved users, Command Centers, mission versions, history and keys. PostgreSQL backup restoration passed.
- Authenticated implicit TLS and STARTTLS SMTP deliveries passed using credentials supplied at runtime.
Before updating
- Back up the database, files and configuration before upgrading. Keep the encryption key and update the app and workers together.
Frontend branding cleanup
Refined Sydekyks branding across the frontend and public documentation.
Improved
- Cleaned up frontend branding and replaced a branded bitmap with a vector diagram.
- Updated the public website and documentation.
Compatibility
- The accepted API, worker and engine runtime is unchanged from 1.0.1. Fresh installation and license enforcement passed on AMD64 and ARM64.
Clearer administration and installation guidance
Hide administration features that are not available and document runtime SMTP configuration.
Improved
- Unavailable administration menus are hidden from the platform navigation.
- Installation documentation uses the public Docker image and customer-supplied secrets. SMTP settings are supplied at runtime.
Verified
- Workflow execution, installation, license checks and PostgreSQL recovery were checked for this release.
Earlier release records will be added as they are reconciled. This log covers published application versions.
