Sydekyks Sustainable Use License
Free self-hosting and all available features, permitted partner hosting and support, and restrictions on competing hosting and software resale of future covered contributions.
Every available feature stays free
Self-host Sydekyks for personal use or within your business, with every available feature included. There are no license keys, activation fees, trials, seat fees or paid feature unlocks. Infrastructure, connected apps and AI providers can have their own costs. iBAS charges for optional hosting and support services.
The Sydekyks Sustainable Use License
The Sydekyks Sustainable Use License 1.0 applies to new original covered contributions after the MIT baseline. It allows permitted use, modification and free redistribution, with restrictions on competing hosting and software resale. This is a source-available license.
- Personal use and internal business self-hosting are free.
- You can modify the covered software for permitted uses and share it free of charge with the required notices.
- You can charge for installation, customization, training, consulting and support on a customer-owned and controlled installation.
- Offering substantial platform functionality to third parties through competing hosting, a managed service, white-label service, API or similar offering requires written authorization.
- Selling the covered software itself, charging a software license or copy fee, or commercially redistributing it as a software product requires written authorization.
Partner hosting and support
Authorized partners may provide hosting, managed services, support and resale to the extent expressly permitted by their written partner or reseller agreements with iBAS. Those agreements define service responsibilities and commercial arrangements. A partner agreement does not introduce feature gates or activation keys.
For partner authorization or questions, email info@sydekyks.com.
Previously published MIT versions
The platform source at commit f2e657c and the already published ibassoftware/sydekyks:1.0.6 image retain their original MIT permissions, including commercial hosting and redistribution. This licensing transition adds no new functional application code and does not restrict that existing MIT implementation. New restrictions apply to future covered contributions.
Upstream and third-party components
Upstream Activepieces code remains MIT licensed. Dependencies, integrations, fonts and other third-party materials retain their own licenses and notices. The Sydekyks license does not grant rights to excluded Activepieces enterprise modules. Mixed files and compiled releases retain the applicable licenses for their respective portions.
This page summarizes the model. The full license, scope document and valid written agreements govern.
